Graham's Grandson, TAIT to 'Rock the City'

Thousands of local students in Binghamton, N.Y., about 180 miles northwest of New York, are expected to attend "Rock the City," an event featuring Will Graham, the grandson of prominent evangelist Billy Graham, and Christian rock band TAIT.

The event will be held Sunday and is an attempt for neighborhood students to reach out to their fellow classmates and friends ahead of a larger evangelistic festival to be led by Billy Graham's son, Franklin Graham.

According to a media advisory, TAIT will be performing live music during Sunday's event to get the youth encouraged and excited. The group is founded by Christian music elite, Michael Tait, who was formerly part of the hip-hop group dc Talk. As part of that iconic group, he won four Grammys as well as 17 Dove Awards, also known as the "Christian Grammy."

"Rock the City" is a part of the larger NYPENN Festival led by Franklin Graham, which will be held June 8-10 later this year. This festival will likewise be held in Binghamton and is a joint effort of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and over 220 churches.

Among the NYPENN Festival activities will be music by numerous popular Christian groups as well as inspiring messages by Franklin Graham.

"Rock the City" will begin at 5 p.m. at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
