'Gran Turismo Sport' Bundle Comes With A Real Car
Want to take the "Gran Turismo Sport" experience offline? Don't worry because Sony has that covered with a special edition bundle that comes with a real car.
With special editions now an essential part of video game releases, publishers often have to get creative when it comes to their freebies. However, there are instances where special editions take a turn for the ridiculous, and that is exactly what Sony did with their latest iteration of its racing sim.
The bundle comes with a limited-edition 2018 Mazda MX-5, complete with Gran Turismo and PlayStation logos. Also included are a PS4 Pro, a PSVR headset and Move controllers, a Thrustmaster T-GT steering wheel, an Apiga AP1 racing chair, a Sony Bravia 4K HDR TV, 12 months of PS Plus, and of course a copy of "Gran Turismo Sport. "

The special edition is a publicity stunt by Taiwan Sony Interactive Entertainment and is available for 1.4 million New Taiwan Dollars which is $46,300 in US dollars. Sadly though, only one bundle is available and it was already snatched up by a car collector. But was the special edition really worth the money?
According to Mazda USA's site lists, the grand touring model of the MX-5 as starting at $30,065. The Sony Bravia 4K HDR TV goes for goes for $3,999.99 Thrustmaster's rig is priced at $799.99. The chair is $389. PS Plus is $59.99, the Pro's MSRP is $399 and PlayStation VR is $449.
The care combined with the rest of the gaming knick knacks all add up to $36,218.99 which means that the collector paid about a $10,000 premium for that PS4-branded ride. Still, given that the buyer is car collector, it's probably safe to say that $10,000 won't really put a dent in his or her finances.
However, this is far from being the most expensive special edition bundle as that honor goes to the My Apocalypse Collector's Edition of "Dying Light." Aside from the game, it also included a zombie-proof bunker, parkour lessons, flight to Poland, adult diapers, and lots more all for the ridiculous price of $386,000.
But for players who don't have much use for a PS4-branded car, "Gran Turismo Sport" is now available for $59.99.
