'Grand Theft Auto 6' Update: Will Title Have Its Release Date In 2018?
Action-adventure video game "Grand Theft Auto" has been a success throughout the years. It's also the biggest game for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC especially with its fifth installment which smashed all sales records globally when it was released in 2013. Now, many are wondering when the successor of the game will come.
According to Parent Herald, several fans are patiently waiting for "Grand Theft Auto 6." Unfortunately, the sixth installment of the game may not be released very soon and there are several factors to consider for it. One factor is the departure of Leslie Benzies, the lead developer of the iconic game series and one of the most regarded influencers of "GTA" video games. He left the company this month and his departure may have affected the release of the sixth game.
The site noted that he had originally left for a sabbatical in 2014. There is also some speculation that his earlier absence might have been why the downloadable content for "GTA 5" was delayed. Gospel Herald reported that several "GTA 5" players have been wanting a single-player DLC. However, there's no certainty as well as to when a DLC might arrive for the current game.

However, Neurogadget detailed that Rockstar North, a subsidiary of Rockstar Games, will need some more time as they are currently working on the "Red Dead Redemption 2" game.
