'Grey's Anatomy' Season 10 Spoilers and Cast News: Cristina Preparing to Depart?
"Grey's Anatomy" fans are wondering when Sandra Oh will be leaving the show ever since she announced her departure back in August, and the answer may arrive this month.
Oh has starred on "Grey's" as Dr. Cristina Yang since the beginning of the series in 2005, and creator Shonda Rhimes has guaranteed fans that the actress will get "the exit she deserves." Consequently, the episode scheduled to air March 27 entitled "Do You Know" raises suspicion that Oh's exit is nearing.
According to "Grey's Anatomy" sources, the episode will see Christina imaging alternate outcomes of her life in a "sliding doors" concept, according to TV Line. The fantasy sequence could point to clues about the cast member's departure and what will come of her character.

Although Oh is leaving, main cast members Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey recently signed new two-year deals to stay on the medical drama series. During an interview with TVLine back in August, Dempsey discussed his future portraying beloved character Derek Shepherd.
"Everything is open to conversation at this point," Dempsey said. "Grey's has been such a remarkable ride. Shonda [Rhimes] has been incredibly supportive. I enjoy Grey's more than ever in many ways. Our relationship has grown considerably. We've all matured of the last 10 years. So it would be a shame to end this."
While Dempsey will remain on "Grey's," the actor recounted the moment he learned that Oh was leaving the series.
"We found out right at the end of the table read for the 200th episode," Dempsey recalled. "She took the cast aside individually and said, 'I'm going to leave the show.' With any member of the show, especially the original cast, it's always sad to see someone leave."
Meanwhile, the synopsis on TV Guide for the March 13 episode "Throwing It All Away" is as follows: "Arizona advises a patient who's facing a potential double amputation. Meanwhile, Derek doesn't fulfill a promise to Callie; a baby is abandoned outside of the hospital; and a doctor gets suspended for not adhering to the non-fraternization policy."
"Grey's Anatomy" airs Thursdays on ABC on 9 p.m.
