'Grey's Anatomy' Season 12 Spoilers: Shocking Twist Coming for Stephanie, Meredith Regrets Sleeping with Will
Fans of medical drama series "Grey's Anatomy" will need to brace themselves in the episodes to come in season 12 as a shocking twist is said to take place. According to Yibada, actress Jerrika Hinton, who plays as Stephanie Edwards, revealed recently that her character will have a shocking twist in her storyline.
As viewers have noticed, Stephanie has not really been much of a focus in the show but over time, the character has evolved and turned into a skillful and promising neurosurgeon. A lot has in store for her including an unexpected turn of events in her life as she faces a new challenge which will push her to make big decisions. Hinton spoke to Cosmopolitan and she said that Stephanie will be dealing a tough situation towards the end of the season.
"There's a plot point that happens close to the end of the season, where Stephanie makes a decision that I, as an actor, as a human being [would not make]," Hinton said. "I got on the phone with the writers a lot, and I was like, 'You're really having her do this?'"

Meanwhile, in the next episode of the show, fans will finally see Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) go on a date night. But it won't end up as expected. Design and Trend reported that season 12 episode 16 will be titled "When It Hurts So Bad" and it will show Meredith giving Will (Scott Elrod) a chance to take her out. She finally agrees after all the traumatic events that has happened in her life—the death of her husband Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and a brutal attack from a patient.
She is still in the process of healing but she has taken a step forward by agreeing to the date with will. Unfortunately, as seen on the promo video released by ABC, the night will turn sour. It may have started sweet and warm as the military doctor leaned forward to kiss Meredith. But before the teaser ended, Will is seen half-naked outside Meredith's room door while Meredith is shouting "Get him out of here." Maggie (Kelly McCreary) asks Will what he did to her but Will is shocked and confused.
"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 episode 16 will air on March 31 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
