'Halo 5: Guardians' December DLC News: Details of New Content Revealed in Live Stream Event

Players of 343 Industries' latest shooter video game, "Halo 5: Guardians," will surely be delighted with these handful of new contents included in the game's December DLC.

A report from Design & Trend spotted this weekend a "Halo 5" live stream event which was hosted by the studio's community manager Andy Dudynksy and content manager Jay Fretchette. The duo was later joined by designers Quinn DelHoyo and Lawrence Metten.

The sneak peek was apparently heavy on the details about the game as well as its upcoming DLC. Topping the list is the previously confirmed Forge Mode. As detailed, the mode basically allows gamers to create their own multiplayer maps by utilizing the pre-defined tools available.

The video particularly featured a Forge map that is set in Space, one of the reported multiple templates included in the new multiplayer mode.

The hosts went on to showcase a host of new weapons with one that looks like the M41 Rocket Launcher. Also spotted is what is thought to be the Mark IV helmet. D&T clarified that this headgear isn't necessarily the same as what Master Chief has worn in "Halo: Combat Evolved." The slight variation of designs gave hints that the helmet may have existed in one of the extended "Halo" fiction universes, the site went on to explain.

Players can now also customize their guns with black and gold weapon skins.

For those who missed it, Microsoft has launched its first major update for the game this past week called "Battle of Shadow and Light." The patch saw the addition of the Big Team Battle mode, four new maps, as well as dozens of new Req packs.

"Battle of Shadow and Light" is just but one of the many free updates that 343 Industries has planned to release for "Halo 5: Guardians."

Stay tuned for more updates.
