Police officers detected a "strong odor of alcohol" as they approached the young actor's 2007 black Mercedes Benz.

Musso was given a field sobriety test, which he performed very poorly.

After a breathalyzer test, the actor was taken into custody as he was well above .08, the legal limit in California for people over 21.

He was charged with suspicion of DUI and taken to the local police station on a $5,000 bail.

TMZ reported that according to his booking sheet Musso is 5'8 133 pounds.

He was released from custody a few hours after he sobered up.

Musso currently stars in two Disney Channel shows, "Pair of Kings" and "PrankStars," the latter being a new show with similar stylings to Ashton Kutcher's "Punked" except the celebrity plays a prank on an unsuspecting fan.

"Pair of Kings" began filming on Feb. 15 2010 and was made primarily to fill the void of ending two hit shows, "Hannah Montana" and "The Suite Life on Deck."

He also voices the character of Jeremy Johnson on Disney cartoon "Phineas and Ferb."

Musso released a self-titled album in 2009 where it debuted at No. 19 on the Billboard 200.
