Hep Alien Returning to 'Gilmore Girls' Revival, New Actor to Play as Tristan?

The excitement over the return of "Gilmore Girls" is high and many are looking forward of the cast reuniting again to bring in new episodes for the four-part revival series on Netflix. And to bring the hype up higher, it has been announced that fans will be seeing the series' band Hep Alien again.

According to Entertainment Online, Sebastian Bach, the one who played as Gil in the show, has signed on the cast to reprise his role. This means that the Hep Alien band will be complete in the upcoming revival. Keiko Agena, Todd Lowe and John Cabrera will also all return to reprise their roles as Lane Kim, Zack Van Gerbig and Brian Fuller respectively.

It can be remembered that the Hep Alien band was created so that Lane can play the drums, which has been her long-time dream. The revival will be featuring their music again so fans can expect some rock and roll. Inquisitr also noted that Bach announced his return in Stars Hollow via his Instagram account wherein he posted an on-set photo. Lowe also posted a photo of them all four together indicating that "Gilmore Girls" is surely going to be packed with nostalgic feels.

Aside from the band members, other original stars of the show will also be returning to the show including lead stars Alexis Bledel, who played as Rory Gilmore, and Lauren Graham, who played as Lorelai Gilmore. Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Matt Czuchry, Jared Padalecki, Liza Weil, Danny Strong and Milo Ventigmiglia are also returning to reprise their roles. So far, the only cast member not returning to the series is Melissa McCarthy who played as Sookie St. James. Sources said that she was not invited back for the Netflix reunion.

Meanwhile, there are rumors going around that the character Chad Murray played in the show's season 1 and season 2 may also be coming back. According to Bustle, troublemaker Tristan may make an appearance to the revival but it would not be portrayed by Murray anymore. Instead, he may be replaced by rising star Anton Narinsky (Pitch Perfect 2). There is no confirmation this though so it's best to take it with a pinch of salt.
