Hillary Clinton Hospitalized After Doctors Find Blood Clot
On Sunday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was rushed to a hospital in Manhattan to receive treatment for a blood clot a few weeks after suffering a concussion.
Doctors at New York-Presbyterian Hospital explained that the blood clot was a result of the concussion Clinton suffered earlier this month when she fainted. At the time, she was suffering from a severe stomach illness.
Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines revealed that doctors had come across the blood clot during a follow-up exam Sunday evening.

"In the course of a follow-up exam today, Secretary Clinton's doctors discovered a blood clot had formed, stemming from the concussion she sustained several weeks ago," Philippe Reines, deputy assistant secretary, said in a statement.
"She is being treated with anti-coagulants and is at New York- Presbyterian Hospital so that they can monitor the medication over the next 48 hours."
Reines added that doctors will continue "to assess her condition, including other issues associated with her concussion."
Clinton has made national headlines recently regarding testimony she was supposed to give about the Benghazi attacks that left four Americans dead. Her appearance before a congressional committee was postponed after Clinton suffered the concussion.
Some individuals had suspected the Clinton was faking her illness to get out of testifying before Congress.
"If she has a concussion, let's see the medical report," wrote The Daily Caller's Jim Treacher. "Let's see some proof that she's not just stonewalling. If it's true, then we can all wish her a speedy recovery. But it's ridiculous to expect us to take her word for it. P.S. If you demanded Romney's tax returns but you think it's paranoid to ask for Hillary Clinton's medical report, #YouMightBeALiberal."
There is no word yet on when exactly Clinton will testify, but Deputy Secretary William Burns and Deputy Secretary Thomas Nides have said they would testify if necessary.
