HiSense Unveils Nearly Bezel-less Magic Mirror with Retina Display
HiSense introduced its Magic Mirror tablet with narrow bezels and Retina display at the IFA 2015 last week.
Chinese electronics multinational, HiSense unveiled what was pronounced one of the most attractive mobile devices at the Berlin IFA 2015 last Thursday - a nearly belez-less Magic Mirror handset featuring Retina display.
HiSense, a company that sells under a number of brand names, including Ronshen, Kelon, and Combine, is more commonly known for its digital TVs, set-top boxes, broadcasting equipment, PC cards, and domestic appliances, than its mobile phone or slate products.

Reporters, delegates and guests at the IFA were understandably surprised when the Chinese electronics manufacturer debuted a stunning 8.4-inch handheld device called Magic Mirror.
The device is a product of HiSense's Mobile Communications Technology Co. Ltd., a publicly traded company which HiSense created in 2005. The company has only started to churn out mobile handsets and Linux OS smartphones only recently. The Magic Mirror has a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio and extremely thin bezels which gives the new mobile device an almost frameless look.
The nearly non-existing bezels follows a new trend emerging in the handheld electronics market where reduced bezel width appears to be emerging. The Magic Mirror's only obvious bezel appear along the slate's bottom edge to accommodate its capacitive keys.
Displaying a 2560 x 1600 360ppi resolution on its laminated Retina panel screen, the handset runs on a Rockchip RK3288 processor supported by 2GB of RAM and 16GB to 32GB of internal storage.
The premium tablet features a Dolby Audio sound system and dual speaker grilles at the rear, and a 4,580mAh battery, with a lightly themed Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed and a simple customizable user interface. Measuring a thin 199mm x 121mm x 7.1mm, with 3.5mm at its thinnest point, it weights 280g, and is entirely made of metal.
HiSense's Magic Mirror, also listed as HiSense F6281, is available for $280 at JingDong mall, one of China's biggest online shopping arcades.
