'Homeland' Season 5 Spoilers: Carrie Rushes To Get Quinn Out Of Danger In Episode 10

Showtime's hit political drama TV series "Homeland" Season 5 returns this weekend with yet another intense brand new episode that will see Carrie Mathison racing against time and mustering up all her courage in order to save Peter Quinn from an apparent danger. Will the ex-CIA agent be able to get the operative from the sticky situation?

Citing the details shown over at the promo video released by the network for the episode titled "New Normal," Quinn can be seen bound and he looks like he is about to become a sacrificial lamb by the insurgents who are bent on bringing terror into Berlin.

In a footage they forwarded to the United Nations Security Council, the organization prompted the authorities to give-in to their demands before the clock ticks out. Otherwise, they will have to end Quinn's life. Carrie, in the teaser, can also be seen mortified.

But the intelligence officer won't just sit there and wait for the axe to hit the block. She happens to know where the black ops personnel are and she will probably use the intel she has to reach his location. Fans may remember that Quinn was supposed to be in Syria to have a dialogue with the deputy Emir but things take a turn for the worse when the extremist leader that he tricked, changed his mind and opted to go to Berlin instead.

Adding more pressure to the situation is Allison, who fans already know to be a double-agent, telling Dar Adal that she can help stop the threat. Carrie is quick to point out that the woman is lying. Saul seems to be in agreement as he listens quietly in the corner.

Near the end of the clip, Carrie can be seen tiptoeing her way into what appears to be an abandoned location. It looks like she's searching for someone and hopefully, this person is none other than Quinn.

Find out how these events unfold as "Homeland" Season 5 airs this Sunday, Dec. 6, on Showtime.
