'How To Get Away With Murder' Season 3 News: Will There Be New Students?

After another successful season of "How To Get Away With Murder," there have been many questions regarding what is in store for the upcoming season.

The previous season saw some character development for many of the cast members. With that said, fans are still wondering if there will be a new batch of faces introduced when the series returns later this year.

According to TVLine, the executive producer of the series, Pete Nowalk, addressed the matter during an interview. He explained that while they had toyed around with the idea of it, there are some factors that are keeping them from pursuing it fully.

He said, "I'm open to that, but I also don't see how [any new students] could be as intimately involved in Annalise's life as these five have. Also, there's no formula to this show. Does Annalise want to continue being a professor? Does the school still want her there? Do [the Keating Five] want to stay in law school? All valid questions."

He went on to explain that he did not want to make the series feel like a formula where a new group of students will go on to murder someone else. Instead, he and his team are interested in exploring the bond between the existing group of characters.

However, one of the characters is expected to play a more vital role in the upcoming season. Another report by TV Line explained that Conrad Ricamore, who plays the role of Oliver, will be a regular for the third season of "How To Get Away With Murder."

Nowalk also shared some interesting details about Oliver's character. He said, "[Oliver] has a new lease on life... not only meeting Connor, but also his [HIV-positive] diagnosis. All of it has made him look at his life and say, 'What do I really want?' He wants a little bit more excitement. He wants to feel passionate about his job. He doesn't want to be bored."

"How To Get Away With Murder" Season 3 will release later this year.
