HTC Desire A16 Details Leaked, Alleged Specs Include Snapdragon 210, 8MP Camera, 1.5 GB of RAM
It's no secret anymore that Taiwan-based company HTC is cooking up something under its Desire smartphone line because of leaked details that surfaced online. According to a report by Android Police, the impending smartphone is codenamed as A16 and though it sounds like it belongs to the "A" line of HTC One smartphones, the leaked handset is actually a refresh of the company's mid-range Desire line.
A leaked photo courtesy of Evan Blass (@evleaks) shows how the device would look like. As seen on the photo, the A16 is alleged to have six color variants. The colors include plain black and white, sparkly black, red, white, and navy. Blass did not release any details regarding the specs but design-wise, the device looks similar to the recent entry in HTC's mid-range Desire series, which is the Desire 626.
Following the release of the full press render by Blass, famed leaker LlabTooFer released the details on the specs. The information released indicated that the device is a mid-ranger with a 5-inch 720p display. Under the hood, it will be equipped with Snapdragon 210 processor. Although the original post mentioned a Snapdragon 200 processor, it was corrected via a comment under the post. The device is also said to feature an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. It's said to be paired with 1.5 GB of RAM along with 8 GB of internal storage space that can be expanded further via a microSD card slot.

As for its battery power, the device is said to be equipped with a 2200mAh battery pack which is already considered as low-end to today's standard. As of now, details regarding the HTC Desire A16 are scarce but GSM Arena reported that the smartphone is rumored to carry a price tag of $150.
Meanwhile, fans are still looking out if HTC will release the long rumored One M10 at the Mobile World Congress 2016.
