HTC One M10 News: April 12 Launch; Brand New Name, Updated Camera Makes It Best 2016 Smartphone?
The next HTC flagship phone will be launched April 12 8 a.m. New York time; 1 p.m., London; and 8 p.m., Taipei. And it will not be called HTC One M10 or HTC M10, and definitely not HTC Perfume. HTC has finally chosen HTC 10 as the brand new name for what is expected to be the best smartphone the company has come up with. The pressure has been up for the Taiwanese company HTC to deliver a smashing new model phone after its last one, the HTC One M9, fell short in reviews for having a middling camera.
Clearly, HTC is "obsessed in a good way" with its next flagship, what with the teasers and an invite to spark the curiosity and interest of smartphone fans and selfie freaks looking for the next big thing in phones. The Taiwan-based company has used another catch-phrase "power of 10" (with a hashtag preceding it) perhaps to convey the message that the HTC 10 to be launched is packed with powerful specifications and features. This is something which remains to be seen, although the rising company has teased an unboxing video on YouTube giving up some HTC 10 good-to-knows.
The HTC 10, referred to as the "next-generation beast" in the video sports a full-metal body in a slim design with screen size of 5 inches and dimensions of 1,980 × 1,080 millimeters. Contrary to speculations, the upcoming HTC 10 will only run on a Snapdragon 810, 32 GB of internal memory, and 3 GB RAM. The smartphone comes with a 20-megapixel front camera carrying a 4K recording ability; its rear camera is an 8-megapixel. The "best BoomSound" hype is all about two stereo speakers apparently, based on the video's reveal.
