'I Am Bread' Release Date: Bread Simulator Game Released on Steam Early Access

"I Am Bread," which tells the story of a slice of bread going on a quest to be toasted, was finally released on Dec. 3 via Steam Early Access.

Game developer Bossa Studios is known for their silly and quirky games, such as last year's "Surgeon Simulator." This time they're releasing a bread-related game, the "I Am Bread," where players will have to navigate the world as a slice of bread seeking toasters, hair straighteners, blow dryers and more on his quest to get toasted.

The quirky bread game released on PCs on Dec. 3 is available for $9.99, but it is only an Early Access version that does not have the complete storyline.

Bossa Studios is looking to release the game early next year, but for now they decided to release this version before Christmas to get feedback from users while the final game is still in development.

The gameplay trailer was also unveiled prior to the release, showing the bread's quest to find the perfect level of crispiness and edibleness.

A list of minimum PC requirements appeared on Steam page for those interested in playing the game, such as the need for Windows 7 OS, a 2.4 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM of memory and 500 MB of internal memory available. They also need the Nvidia Geforce GTS 450 or better for the graphics, a DirectX Version 9.0 and a DirectX 9.0 compatible sound card. A controller has also been recommended for optimum gaming experience.
The official description for the game has also been released by Steam:

"The beautiful story of one slice of bread's epic and emotional journey as it embarks upon a quest to become toasted. As you delve deeper and deeper into the story of 'I Am Bread,' you'll notice that things aren't quite what they seem."
