Ice Cream Sandwich-Powered HTC One V Headed to Virgin Mobile

Virgin Mobile now has its eyes set on getting itself some Ice Cream Sandwich.

The carrier is planning the launch of the new Android 4.0 powered HTC One V for the late spring. What's even more enticing is that consumers will be able to pick up the device for just $200.

"We already knew the device would more than likely come in under the $200 price tag being the more budget friendly option in the line of three new devices unveiled by HTC at MWC," wrote 9to5 Google.

Specifications on the One V include a 1GHz processor, Android 4.0 (with Sense 4.0), a 3.7-inch WVGA display, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal memory. It also comes with Beats Audio and a 5-megapixel rear shooter.

The One V is one of three devices by HTC that debuted at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The other two smartphones in the line are the One S and One X.

The One X, the most powerful of these, features a Tegra 3 quad-core processor, a 4.7-inch Super LCD display with 1280 x 720 pixels, and an 8-megapixel camera that includes an ImageChip that kicks up picture processing. It will also be 4G LTE and has Beats Audio software pre-installed.

The One X will be released through AT&T sometime next month.

The One S is slightly less powerful, but still sports some impressive features including a 4.3-inch display with 960 x 540 resolution, a dual-core SnapDragon S4 processor, an 8-megapixel camera and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It will be released through T-Mobile sometime this spring.

All three of these handsets will feature Google's latest operating software and the One X will be one of the first devices on the market to include a quad-core processor.
