India Eisley to Play Younger Angelina Jolie in Disney's 'Maleficent'
India Eisley is only 18 years old but she will have big shoes to fill when she portrays a younger version of Angelina Jolie in the upcoming Disney movie "Maleficent." Who is this young starlet?
She has had a role on the ABC Family series "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" as well as 2005 movie "Headspace." This will be one of the first major roles she'll be taking on, as the movie is due out in 2014. It has already generated much buzz; this will be the first non-animated version of Disney's "Sleeping Beauty."
"Snow White and the Seven Dwarves" has risen to new popularity thanks to two films: "Mirror, Mirror" and "Snow White and the Huntsman," due out later this year. TV shows such as "Once Upon a Time" and "Grimm" have also helped spur interest in the well-known fairy tales.

One noted difference viewers of these shows note is that they tend to favor the traditional villains. "Maleficent," for example, will tell the story of "Sleeping Beauty" from the point of view of the fabled, green villainess. Angelina Jolie has signed on to play the title character, and Eisley will take over her younger role.
It is rumored that Elle Fanning will portray the younger Princess Aurora, aka "Sleeping Beauty," but no other details have been revealed. Fanning, the younger sister of actress Dakota, has had roles on TV as well as movies such as "We Bought a Zoo" and "Super 8."
Jolie herself is excited to play the famed villainess.
"It's a really great script. I'm having a lot of fun. I'm having my horns fitted. My kids are very happy," she told Entertainment Weekly.
"The beautiful child India Eisley will play my younger self in my new movie. She's a beautiful child, just like I was," tweeted Jolie.
