iPad Mini Concept Shrinks Down Original
In the wake of the recent iPad Mini rumors and alleged confirmations, two tech media outlets have partnered up to create a concept image of the tablet.
Gizmodo in a partnership with Nickolay Lamm created these new concept images of the iPad Mini, and the device in the pictures closely resembles the current iPad model.
The renderings were made using the rumored 7.85-inch screen, new mini-dock connector, and back camera.

The concept pictures display the iPad Mini alongside the regular model. Both tablets look identical to one another and Apple probably will not make that many adjustments to a mini iPad if it is truly going to release a smaller model, since the original has been so successful.
The main difference between the two devices will be the specs, and more importantly, the price that is rumored to drop significantly.
Apple could be unveiling both the iPad Mini and next-generation iPhone as early as Sept. 12.
iMore has stated that the company will introduce the smartphone on Sept. 12, and officially release the device on Sept. 21. However, the iPad mini release date is still unclear.
The iPad Mini has been rumored to be in the works for quite some time now and has been confirmed by credible publications such as Bloomberg and The New York Times.
"The company [Apple] is developing a new tablet with a 7.85-inch screen that is likely to sell for significantly less than the latest $499 iPad, with its 9.7-inch display," said The New York Times, which cited several people with knowledge of the product for its information source.
The publication also stated that the product should be announced sometime before the end of this year, while Bloomberg offered a similar report three weeks ago.
