iPhone 4S Release Date: iPhone 4 Trade-In Prices Drop Sharply

Apple’s new iPhone 4S launched today, and the previous model, the iPhone 4 has already begun to drop in price.

In the weeks just before the next generation iPhone’s release, Apple was offering up to $200 for customers looking to trade in their iPhone 4 in order to get credit for the 4S. Sites such as eBay and Gazelle were offering even more.

But shortly after the iPhone 4S launched earlier today, those prices began to drop.

Gazelle was offering $250 for the 32GB iPhone 4 and now dropped its estimate down to $200.

NextWorth was giving up to $215 for the 32GB version, but if the model has any cracks or bad scratches customers may have to settle for a $115 buyback.

Apple is still offering up to $200 for that model, but according to the recent trend, it will likely lessen its estimate as the iPhone 4S continues to gain ground.

The 16GB model can be sold on sites such as Gazelle who gives $170 for the AT&T version and $135 for the Verizon one.

Today might be the last day customers can receive the optimal price for trading in their used iPhone 4 models.

Flawless models can still be traded in for enough money to purchase a 16GB iPhone 4S with a 2-year contract.

But customers with pricy cases should hold on to them since the new iPhone does not differ from its predecessor in terms of shape.

In other words, most cases used for the iPhone 4 should be compatible with the iPhone 4S.

The new iPhone exceeds the 4 in all areas.

It may look the same, but from the inside it is far superior to the fourth generation iPhone.
