iPhone 5 Headphone Jack and Earpiece Components Leak
Parts for the iPhone 5 leaked this past weekend including a headphone jack, earpiece and a Wi-Fi cable part.
The components surfaced from the online vendor SW-BOX.com, and this surely is not the first leak, as home buttons and a micro-SIM tray made their way to the site several weeks ago.
These new parts also point to a different design for the upcoming handset, according to MacRumors.

"If the new part is indeed legitimate, it does represent a significant departure from the component organization in the current iPhone," wrote the site. "In the iPhone 4 and 4S, the headphone jack, volume buttons, and mute switch are grouped together on a single component, while this new part associates the headphone jack with the earpiece speaker and Wi-Fi cabling."
However, the parts that have leaked offer no insight onto the form factor of the next-generation iPhone.
Apple has not yet decided on the final design for the iPhone 5, according to a recent report from iMore.com.
The site is reporting that the company has not decided on what the exact screen size will be, but that it will not bigger than four inches. It is also saying that the device will feature a smaller dock connector that is currently in development, along with the traditional home button.
Contrary to some of the recent rumors, it will not feature a metal backing and the new iPhone will most likely be an LTE device.
iLounge recently reported that the new iPhone would have a longer display with a partially metal back.
"Since Apple prototypes many designs for upcoming products, it is very likely that iLounge's iPhone 5 description is an actual prototype," said 9to5Mac. "However, iMore is saying that the new iPhone design is yet to be finalized, so don't be disappointed if the final product looks different than iLounge's mockups."
iMore is also saying that Apple will launch the next iPhone in October, one year after the iPhone 4S was released.
