The lost iPhone 5 prototype was lost at a bar and the San Francisco police traced the phone to a residence. But according to the police statement, the item was not found.

22-year-old Sergio Caideron, the resident whose home was searched by police and two Apple security employees, said he was at the same bar where the phone was reportedly lost but had knew nothing of the missing prototype.

Last year, an Apple employee lost the iPhone 4 prototype at the Gourmet Haus Staudt beer garden in Redwood City, California.

Apple has not commented on the loss of the phone or the current job offering. The phone is rumored to be released mid-October.
