iPhone 5 Release Date: German T-Mobile Employee Clarifies Pre-Order Rumors
Earlier this month, Deutsche Telekom, T-Mobile’s German parent company began taking pre-orders for the iPhone 5. A spokesman for the company recently spoke to The Christian Post regarding this news to clear up some rumors.
“Telekom Germany Cellphones Division (formerly T-Mobile Germany) is actually offering their interested customers the possibility to be informed in time about the availability and conditions to upgrade with the next generation smartphone,” said Axel Sartorius, Telekom Deutschland Customer Service rep to CP.
“Which model this exactly will be or information regarding the manufacturer of this smartphone is unknown at present,” he added.

The iPhone 5 is rumored to be coming to T-Mobile USA, but the service provider has not confirmed this information to any media outlet at this point.
With the German parent company already assisting customers expressing interest in the iPhone 5, it is giving a major clue to what its American counterpart might also be planning.
T-Mobile USA has set up a media event which is scheduled for sometime in early October.
Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook, is expected to be unveiling the next generation iPhone slated for October 4, according to sources close to the situation.
Pre-orders in the U.S. were rumored to be starting by the end of September, but nothing has been confirmed by Apple regarding that.
Samsung, Apple’s biggest competitor has already begun offering the Galaxy S2 in Europe which has received rave reviews.
T-Mobile is expected to make the Galaxy S2 available to its customers next week in the U.S.. The smartphone is already being sold by Sprint.
