iPhone 5 Release Date: Trade-In Your iPhone 4 and Get $200

Apple is now offering up to $200 to any customer willing to trade in their iPhone 4.

Based on certain conditions, Apple will now accept used iPhones and will compensate the trader for up to $200 which conveniently is enough to purchase a new iPhone 4S with a two-year contract.

The offer is available on Apple’s website through the company’s Reuse and Recycle program.

The trade can be accessed by clicking on the Get Started button underneath the “Get an Apple Gift Card for your old device” section.

The iPhone 4S was announced yesterday at Apple’s “Let’s Talk iPhone” media event.

The new iPhone will come in 16GB for $199, 32GB, $299 and 64GB for $399.

With the release of the iPhone 4S, Apple has slashed prices of some of its older smartphones along with releasing an 8GB version of the iPhone 4 which will cost $99 with a two year agreement.

The iPhone 3GS, which despite being over 2 years old, is still the second best selling smartphone in the U.S., will now be offered for free with a two-year agreement.

Apple will also offer and iPhone 4 and 3GS contract free for $549 and $375.

The company has not announced any plans to release an unlocked version of the new iPhone 4S in the U.S.

However, in Canada, Apple’s online store lists the unlocked iPhone 4S for $649 and the U.K. lists a SIM free iPhone 4S for £499. Germany and France are also offering it for €629.

The iPhone 4S’s release has been somewhat disappointing to consumers who were expecting a redesigned iPhone.

But with the new trade in deal, people with the iPhone 4 can make a much easier transition to the 4S.
