iPhone 7 Rumors Claim Bigger Battery, New Home Button Design
Tech giant Apple may finally consider putting in some battery capacity boost in its next iPhone model. According to a report by Techno Buffalo, battery life is still an issue among iPhone owners. That is why it may be different this time for the upcoming iPhone 7. The source cited that Chinese microblogging website Weibo released an information suggesting that the next device will get a bigger battery.
BGR detailed that the Weibo post claimed the iPhone 7 will be packed with a 1,735mAh battery. It also mentioned that its bigger variant, the iPhone 7 Plus, will be getting a 2,810mAh battery. As iPhone fans know, the latest one in the line, the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus, contained a 1,715 mAh battery and a 2,750 mAh battery respectively.
Looking at the comparison, the difference isn't anything massive but it does bring a noticeable improvement, although there is no guarantee that it will be able to provide a longer battery life. The iPhone 7 is expected to carry a more powerful processor compared to the current generation of iPhones, which means that it may drain the power juice faster or it will have a negative impact on battery efficiency.

Cult of Mac noted that the company will most likely create the battery to last about 10 hours of internet use on the iPhone 7 and 12 hours on the iPhone 7 Plus. Moreover, with regards to the other specs, rumors say that the device will be coming with a new A10 processor. It's also said to have a water-resistant design and a dual camera setup. A Smart Connector feature is also expected. Additionally, the iPhone 7 could be coming with a new home button design.
There is no specific release date yet for the iPhone 7 but it may be arriving sometime in Fall 2016.
