Users of iCloud are advised to turn off iTunes Match on all of their computers and iOS devices. The songs on user’s computers should not be affected, according to Apple.

The company also advises everyone receiving the update to backup their files regularly and not to delete the music added from iCloud to their computers.

Apple originally planned to officially launch iTunes Match by the end of October, but it never happened.

Apple has confirmed no release dates as of today, but there is a good chance iTunes Match users will hear something in the near future since this update hints that Apple is in preparations for the launch.

The cost of having an iTunes Match account will be $24.99 a year.

It allows users to use the program to scan and match tracks in their iTunes music library, including tracks copied from CDs or other sources, with tracks in the iTunes Store.

Apple will allow customers to download up to 25,000 tracks in 256 AAC file format that match tracks in any supported audio file format in the customers’ iTunes libraries.

Customers will also be able to upload any music that is not available in the iTunes Store for download onto other supported devices or computers.
