James Howe: Director, Husband and Father Gunned Down During Home Invasion as Police Continue Searching for Suspects
Police in California are still searching for suspects in the attack that killed James Howe and left his wife wounded.
Howe, 42, a Hollywood director, was shot and killed inside his Glassell Park home and his wife was wounded during the home invasion that took place on Nov. 27. The couple's six-year-old son was not home during the attack and is reportedly being cared for by relatives.
Police stated that the perpetrators posed as solicitors and when the door of the house opened two intruders forced their way into the home. Police reported that there was a struggle during which one of the two intruders fired a gun fatally striking Howe and severely injuring his wife.

Police have continued to search for suspects in the case who, according to the LAPD, are described as two black males, one between the ages of 16 and 22 and the other between the ages of 20 and 15. The older suspect is thought to be the shooter. There was allegedly one black female involved in the shooting as well, but a description of the female suspect was not available.
"The victims were completely innocent. No connection could be found between them and their attackers," LAPD Deputy Chief Jose Perez said in a statement.
According to Perez the suspects left the scene in a dark colored mustang.
Howe was a reality TV show director and worked on shows such as "America's Next Top Model" and "Tila Tequila."
LAPD Detective Harold Dicroce told CBS that Howe and his wife recently moved to the neighborhood with their 6-year-old son. The neighborhood has seen an increase in criminal actively in the past six months.
The larger Glassell Park neighborhood has suffered 167 property crimes and 21 violent crimes within the last have year, according to police statistics.
