'Jane the Virgin' Season 2 Episode 18 Spoilers: Mother and Daughter Fallout Takes Its Toll; Rafael Feels Jealous
The CW's hit family drama TV series "Jane The Virgin" Season 2 continues this week with a brand new episode that will see the after-effects of Jane's "wild night-out" with her mother, Xo. Meanwhile, Rafael feels the pang of jealousy when Mateo gets to learn a new trick.
Spoiler alert for those who missed "Chapter Thirty-Nine," Jane's supposedly epic bachelorette party went awry as Xo and her best friend Lina, took charge of the preparation. The occasion gave Jane a different perspective on her mother, a realization that tells her that her mother still hasn't changed.
It was revealed, through a series of flashbacks during the titular character's 21st birthday that Xo's lack of control of her actions has been very traumatic for Jane. Making it worse is the fact that Xo used the same kind of apology she said in the past. Jane, however, won't be having any of her misbehavior anymore and refused to give her the apology.

Fans will now begin to see a new arc in the story between the loving the loving mother and daughter. It is yet to be known if the succeeding developments will see them getting back together or tearing each other apart.
The Futon Critic's synopsis for "Chapter Forty" said that Xo won't be around this time to take care for baby Mateo. Jane will be left with no other choice but to look elsewhere for help. Fortunately, Michael will volunteer to do the job.
Spending the day together with his father-to-be, Mateo learns a new trick which he happens to show in front of his biological father, Rafael. Instead of feeling happy for what transpired before him, Rafael rather feel jealous and upset.
Menawhile, Rogelio finds himself in trouble with the network he worked for when he calls in the crew to do something that is not being agreed upon. The situation will prompt him to call on his close friend, a writer, named Dina for some help.
