Jennifer Hudson is glorifying God for the opportunity to perform at the 87th annual Academy Awards on Feb. 22.

Hudson, the 33-year-old recording artist, actress, and Academy Award-winner in her own right, will perform for the third time on the Oscars stage. Despite the fact that she has performed at the event in 2007 and 2013, Hudson took the time to glorify God for the honor.

"Getting ready for the Academy Awards! God I'm truly humbled," Hudson wrote on Instagram. "Look what God can do!"

Hudson won a best supporting actress award at the Oscars in 2007, for her performance in "Dream Girls." The producers of the award show, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, spoke about having the singer return to the show's stage.

"We're creating several musical sequences for the Oscars and we couldn't be happier that our friend, Jennifer Hudson, will be performing in one of them," a statement from the producers reads.

The singer has been vocal about her faith in the past and insists that it's helped her overcome the 2008 death of her mother, older brother, and 7-year-old nephew in 2008.

"It (faith) was the ultimate help to me. We always said, 'If He brings you to it, He will bring you through it,'" said Hudson in an interview with The Observer magazine last year. "There would be no point in faith if it wasn't tested. My mother always told me no matter how negative your life seems to be, you must always look for a positive. That is what I believe a woman of faith should do."

Hudson will perform at the upcoming Academy Awards along with fellow musicians Adam Levine, John Legend, and Rita Ora. The 87th Academy Awards will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.
