Jennifer Lopez Looking to the Bible for 'Answers and Guidance'

Jennifer Lopez is busy promoting her eighth studio album A.K.A but she found some time to speak about some of her spiritual journey in the process.

Lopez, 44-year-old actress and singer, has been scrutinized for her relationship with 26-year-old Casper Smart which recently ended. Now, she is making it clear that she is a single woman who is searching for spiritual guidance.

"I'm a big soul searcher and I read a lot of, like, self-help books, you know what I mean," Lopez said on The Wendy Williams Show Thursday. "I am always kinda searching for answers. I'll randomly just open a Bible looking for answers and guidance."

This is not the first time Lopez spoke about her doing some soul searching in recent weeks.

"Things have changed so much for me," Lopez told Billboard magazine recently. "I had to really do some soul searching and just realize a lot of things about love, and now I feel like I come from a place where I'm stronger and, I think, better."

Lopez insists she's more than just a pretty famous face who hosts "American Idol."

"I've always strayed from embracing all these different parts of myself as a person and as an artist, but this time I was like, 'I am all these different things,'" she told Billboard. "I can be silly, I can make fun of myself, but I can also be deathly serious and way too deep and introspective sometimes. I think people have so many more sides to themselves than just one. We're much more colorful than that."

While Lopez insists she has nothing to prove to anyone at this point in her life, she also recently admitted that she does not have concrete plans for the near future.

"I don't know what I'm going to be doing in the next six months. I really don't," she told Billboard. "And that's OK for me. Because what I like is whatever happens is supposed to happen. And I'm good."
