Jennifer Lopez Slammed by Twitter Users for 'Fake' Fiat Commercial
Jennifer Lopez has been getting some serious flack from Twitter users ever since it was discovered her latest Fiat commercial was a sham.
The commercial shows the 42-year-old superstar driving a Fiat 500 through the gritty streets of her hometown – Bronx, N.Y. – all the while gazing dreamily out the window as her voiceover says, "Here, this is my world. This place inspires me to be tougher, to stay sharper, to think faster. They may be just streets to you, but to me, they're a playground."
However, after some probing, The Smoking Gun discovered Lopez never actually returned to the city streets that "inspired" her. A body double was hired to film the driving scenes through the Bronx, while the close-up shots of Lopez were filmed in Los Angeles.

Twitter users weren't happy with the deception.
"You actually should be fooled by the rocks that she's got, 'cause J. Lo never went to the Bronx for the Fiat ad," tweeted Prefixmag.
Another user tweeted, "Apparently Jennifer Lopez opted for a stunt double to roll the block in the new Fiat commercial. She's so for reals."
Fiat as well as Lopez's representatives have confirmed that a body double was indeed used in the filming of the commercial.
"Her portion was filmed in Los Angeles," Lopez's spokesman Mark Young told The New York Post. "I don't see a problem. There are many cases where films are done the same way."
Fiat issued a statement saying, "As you may know, in today's world, people are increasingly mobile and their work takes them to a variety of locations. As a result, we took the opportunity to film wherever Ms. Lopez was working at the time to accommodate her schedule."
