Jeremy Renner Daughter Born: Ava Berlin First Child for 'Avengers' Actor

Actor Jeremy Renner welcomed his firstborn child on Friday- a daughter with girlfriend Sonni Pacheco.

"The Hurt Locker" actor has been quiet over the news that his girlfriend, Canadian model Sonni Pacheco, was pregnant. But on Friday, it was announced that his first child had been born. It's a girl that has been named Ava Berlin.

It was at first unclear whom the actor was expecting a child with. Last August, Renner was spotted on a date with a "mystery woman" who was later identified as Sonni Pacheco. But in January, reports surfaced that Renner could be expecting a child with his ex-girlfriend.

The ex was later identified as Jes Macallen; a source confirmed to Us Weekly that the couple "used to date but it wasn't serious." The actor had previously complained that Macallen was at a different stage in her career while the two dated.

"That was part of the issue," he said in a 2012 interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "I was going through the Hurt Locker campaign and she's like, 'Where do I get headshots?'"

During his time shooting the film, Renner also admitted that he had been extremely "lonely."

"People had full-on mental breakdowns; I did," Renner told THR about shooting "The Hurt Locker." "Pure loneliness, that's what it came down to."

But Renner apparently recuperated from his loneliness after becoming more serious with Pacheco. A representative for the actor confirmed the birth of his daughter.

"Jeremy Renner and girlfriend Sonni Pacheco have confirmed that they are the parents of a 7 lb. daughter Ava Berlin Renner," the representative told Us Weekly.

Friends of the actor have said that he will make a good father.

"Jeremy will make a great dad!" one friend told Us.

Renner has appeared in action flicks that include "Thor," "The Avengers," and "The Bourne Legacy."
