Jersey Shore Actor Hospital: Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Hospitalized in Orlando (VIDEO)

A Jersey Shore actor was in hospital this weekend after suffering problems with kidney stones. Popular reality TV star, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, was taking part in some promotional work, but was forced to cancel and go to hospital.

The incident took place in Orlando, Florida where Ortiz-Magro was supposed to be promoting his new line of alcoholic drinks called Smush Cocktails. However, his schedule was thrown out after he suffered pain and was forced to go to hospital for treatment.

Ortiz-Magro took to Twitter to explain to fans about what had happened: "Hospital … Wouldn't wish this feeling on anyone. #KidneysFML."

The actor's rep. also came forward to issue a statement on his behalf explaining that Ortiz-Magro would be kept in hospital for medical treatment and to recover for at least several more days.

According to US Weekly, the rep said: "Ronnie was admitted to an Orlando area hospital late Saturday night … He's in a lot of pain and is expected to remain there for several days."

Meanwhile, People magazine has reports that his Jersey Shore co-star and current girlfriend Sammi Giancola, is by his bedside and has been supporting him through the difficult time.

Ortiz-Magro has been pushing his new line of alcoholic drinks following his appearances on Jersey Shore. However, he is not the only one from the show who is branching out to find a place in new projects.

Jwoww and Snookie now have their own TV show, and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has also started filming a new reality show.

Ortiz-Magro, however, has attempted to enter the alcoholic beverages market with his Smush Cocktails.
