Jessica Simpson Baby: Nick Lachey Wishes Ex and New Baby 'All the Best'
Nick Lachey recently wished his ex-wife Jessica Simpson "all the best" after the birth of her son, Ace. The two were married for three years before deciding to separate in 2005, and have apparently not spoken since.
"We're not in touch," Lachey told E! News. "I certainly wish her the best, and I would like to think the same on her end, but we don't speak. We haven't spoken in years."
Simpson and Lachey are both parents now; Simpson is the mother of two, a daughter named Maxwell and son Ace. Lachey just welcomed his first child, a son named Camden. Lachey and wife Vanessa are reportedly hoping to have another child soon.

"After three years of marriage, and careful thought and consideration, we have decided to part ways. This is the mutual decision of two people with an enormous amount of respect and admiration for each other. We hope that you respect our privacy during this difficult time," the initial statement of the Lachey-Simpson separation said.
However, the couple that fell in love and spent the first year of marriage on "The Newlyweds" quickly found that their schedules were too much and later on decided to part ways. Simpson found love with Eric Johnson, and though the two have not married, they have two children. Of course, there has been much talk of them exchanging vows in the future.
Lachey began dating Vanessa Minnillo and the two married in 2011 before a small gathering of 35 friends and family.
"For us, this is just a stepping stone to do what we ultimately want, and that's to start a family together," Vanessa told People magazine at the time.
The two welcomed Camden just nine months ago, and he has already stolen his father's heart. Lachey recorded an album of lullabies featuring his son on the CD's cover.
Simpson and Lachey have apparently never been happier than they are now.
