Jessica Simpson Pregnancy Confirmed

Jessica Simpson has confirmed that she and fiancé Eric Johnson are expecting baby number two.

It had long been rumored that the singer and actress was pregnant again, and Simpson clarified the news with an adorable picture posted to Twitter on Christmas Day.

"Merry Christmas from my family to yours," wrote the 32-year-old along with a picture of daughter Drew sitting before the words "Big Sis" written in sand.

This is not the first time Simpson has taken to Twitter with baby news.

Last year, the "Sweet Kisses" singer confirmed her first pregnancy on Halloween cryptically tweeting about her "Mummy" costume.

"It's true," she wrote on Twitter at the time. "I am going to be a mummy!"

Meanwhile, the singer-turned-fashion-mogul and her fiancé Eric Johnson welcomed their daughter Maxwell on May 1. Following the child's arrival, Simpson signed a lucrative deal with Weight Watchers and worked hard to shed over 60 pounds in recent weeks.

As with her first pregnancy, it is believed her second pregnancy was also unexpected.

"It definitely wasn't planned," said Simpson soon after welcoming Maxwell, according to Us Weekly at the time.

In May, Simpson revealed that while she does want to grow her family, she wanted to wait.

"I don't want to have another baby right away but I do want to have more kids," she told People magazine. "Having babies back to back has to be so hard."

Many of Simpson's fans have reacted to her happy news on Twitter on Christmas Day.

"Wow, congratulations Jessica Simpson," wrote Molly.

Weight Watchers also posted to Twitter: "Congrats to @JessicaSimpson, Eric and big-sister-to-be Maxwell! Your WW family is so thrilled for you. What an amazing year you've had!"

Simpson rose to fame in 1999 as a singer with her first album "Sweet Kisses" and a smash hit single "I Wanna Love You Forever."

In 2003, Simpson and then-husband Nick Lachey starred in the reality television series "Newlyweds."
