Jessica Simpson Weight Loss Wows at White House Gala With Fiance (PHOTO)

Jessica Simpson joined dozens of other Hollywood stars who traveled to Washington, D.C. for the White House Correspondents Dinner over the weekend.

Hosted by President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, the May 3 event took place at the Washington Hilton Hotel. The 100th annual event was headlined this year by comedian Joel McHale, but a slew of other celebrities and key members of the media joined the party, including Simpson and her fiance Eric Johnson.

For the main event, Simpson opted for a black-and-white floral gown that tied at the waist, according to the Daily Mail. The strapless gown displayed the fashion mogul's weight loss- something Simpson has publicly striven for as an ambassador for Weight Watchers. The mother of two paired the gown with minimal makeup and her blonde hair swept to one side. Alternately, Johnson completed his black tuxedo with a thin black tie.

"We are very close to sending our invites," Simpson revealed to USA Today while talking about her upcoming wedding. "I've been very picky on how I want everything to look and feel ... Eric's family alone is almost 90 people, so it'll definitely be a big event."

Later on in the evening, Simpson changed into an all-black gown featuring a plunging neck line and a thigh-high slit while attending the Bloomberg & Vanity Fair cocktail reception at Villa Firenze. It comes as no surprise that Simpson is sweeping the red carpet once more. The fashion designer recently opened up about feeling her best.

"I love this body and what it's capable of- no matter what size," she said during a Weight Watchers commercial earlier this year. "But this version feels really good. My body, like my life, is a work in progress, but I'm getting there, with Weight Watchers."

Meanwhile, the White House Correspondents Dinner also saw attendees such as "Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara as well as actresses Freida Pinto, Rose McGowan, and Cynthia Nixon, among many more. Also during the night, President Obama addressed the organization of journalists who cover the White House for the sixth time.

"Let's face it Fox, you'll miss me when I'm gone," the President joked at one point. "It will be harder to convince the American people that Hillary was born in Kenya."
