John 3:16 and The Legend of Tim Tebow Grows as Searches for Jesus Rise

Yet again Tim Tebow is making news about his miraculous play, but this time it goes even deeper as his knack for the divine shows up on the scorecard.

Tim Tebow, who always expresses his faith and love for Christ after football games, gave a shout out to John 3:16 after Sunday's overtime win to the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, what Tebow did not know at the time was the other "3-16's" intertwined into his game.

The Denver Broncos quarterback threw for 316 yards and averaged 31.6 passing yards.

To further add to the 3:16 madness, the Sports Business Journal reported the final quarter ratings of the Steeler vs. Broncos game to be 31.6

Another instance of the number appeared on Steeler quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger's side. He threw one interception which occurred at third and 16.

Even WFan 660 NY morning show radio hosts of "Boomer and Carton," Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton, got involved in the Tebow 3:16 clamor and the divinely evident coincidence of Tebow's game numbers.

"One of his biggest books or scriptures that he likes to read, and it's even under the eye black under his eyes is John 3:16," Carton said. "I'm not going to pretend to know what that passage is, but...how many yards did Tebow throw for yesterday?"

Boomer said, "316."

Carton, "How many yards did he average per throw?"

Boomer, "31.6...coincidence, we think not."

Even legendary wrestler who became famous for his Stone Cold Steve Austin character said he approves of Tim Tebow and his use of 3:16.

In the late 90s, Austin along with the Rock were the faces of wrestling in the then World Wrestling Federation (WWF). He even coined his own catchphrase involving the iconic Bible verse, although he definitely misused it.

"Austin 3:16 says I just whooped your a**"

The mid 40s wrestler told TMZ," Austin 3:16 still rules" and continued "If Tebow can throw for 316 yards again this weekend then hell, he can have the numbers and I'll have no problem with it."

He was so impressed by Tebow's performance and the big numbers that he wished the quarterback luck and said "I'm not a Denver fan but Tim's a great role model for kids."

"A guy named John was using it before me ... so if Tebow can do it again, more power to him!" Stone Cold told TMZ about relinquishing his famous moniker.
