Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande Duet Details Revealed

Ariana Grande, the singer who previously opened up for Justin Bieber on his "Believe" tour, is opening up about a collaboration with the singer that she hopes will be on her next album

"I'm excited about it, I'm just very excited," she said during an interview with "On Air With Ryan Seacrest." "Justin wrote it and brought the idea to me and I was really excited to hear it and I'm excited to work with him. I've wanted to work with him for a while."

Grande, 20, acknowledged that fans of both her and Bieber, 20, have been wanting the pair to team up for some time.

"I know it's something our fans have been begging for for years now," she said on the radio show. "I'm hoping it ends up on my album, which will be out late summer."

Bieber posted an image of himself with Grande in a recording studio on Instagram.

"Congrats @arianagrande on your number 1 song #arianabeiberduet," Bieber captioned the image while teasing fans.

Last year Grande posted an image of Bieber planting a kiss on her cheek and received backlash from his fans and those who are fond of his on-and-off again relationship with entertainer girlfriend, Selena Gomez. However, Grande let it be known that she and Bieber have had nothing more but short exchanges while touring.

"It's funny, everybody thinks we spent so much time together because we were touring, but really, I think I saw him once, and it was for about five minutes," Grande revealed in a previous interview with J-14. "He played me 'Heartbreaker,' it was amazing, and then I left. It's like 'hey, great job, bye.'"

After some legal issues, Grande has defended Bieber in the media.

"I think it's really serious. I've seen tweets of people making fun of the mug shot and all this stuff, and it's so ignorant," she previously said on the radio station MIX 104.1. "It's gotten to a point where I just want him to be okay."
