Justin Bieber Sounds Off on Media Believing Hoax to Keep Him Out of Atlanta
Justin Bieber is sounding off against media outlets and readers who believed Atlanta residents started a petition to keep him out of their neighborhoods.
Bieber, the 19-year-old singer, was the subject of a hoax after Rock 100.5 morning show The Regular Guys created a fake Facebook account, claiming to be residents from the Atlanta community Buckhead. After media reports claimed that Bieber was looking to move into the neighborhood, news sources like CNN and TMZ reported about a petition to keep Bieber out.
"As a community here in Buckhead, we have worked hard to achieve our goals and get to where we are. Justin Bieber's relocation to Atlanta can be nothing but bad for our children, as well as the community," the alleged Facebook petition from the Buckhead Neighborhood Coalition states. "Some can't even let their children play in the driveway without fear; he has raced vehicles under the influence, before. What's to say he won't do it again? As a home owner down the street from this residence, one can assume many people will be contacting real estate agents soon enough."

After the radio show hosts admitted they conjured the entire petition up for fun and to test media who did not check their sources, Bieber tweeted his thoughts on the matter.
"Sad how media doesn't believe in fact checking anymore," he tweeted. "Report real things not fake things. wow."
The singer went on to speak about his affinity for Georgia and music.
"I love GA..by the way...never even looked at that house. smh," he wrote on Twitter. "Me, my team, and my beliebers we are focused on the music. that is what matters. much love to everybody."
Last week Bieber took to Twitter to speak about feeling like he is being targeted.
"I guess I'm an easy target for some. I'm still human," Bieber tweeted recently. "I will continue to meet hate with love. It's all about the music. Much love."
