Justin Bieber Tattoo Meaning: New Ink 'Represents Mother's Eye' (PHOTOS)
Justin Bieber recently debuted a new tattoo on social networking site Instagram and a tattoo artist confirmed that the new ink honors the singer's mother, Pattie Mallette.
The pop star, 19, recently showed off a very detailed black-and-white image that allegedly represents Mallette's eye. Keith Bang Bang McCurdy, who is the owner of Bang Bang Tattoos in New York City, confirmed that he did the inking at Bieber's request.
"Justin called me around 10:30 pm last night and asked if I could open up the shop. We are both so busy, and our schedules are pretty hectic, so I opened up the shop, and he came in around 4:00 a.m.," McCurdy told E! News.

The celebrity tattoo artist, whose client list boasts Rihanna and Katy Perry among others, sketched Mallette's right eye on the inside of Bieber's left elbow. He claims the singer specifically wanted "an eye that would represent his mother's."
"So I went in and pulled up a couple of options of high resolution photography, and Justin chose a female eye that best represented what he was looking for," McCurdy explained.
"I did the tattoo in black and white, because it complimented his other tattoos. I wanted it to compliment him, and not be a distraction from him," he added.
The "Beauty and a Beat" singer reportedly has more than 20 tattoos in total which include an image of Jesus on his left leg; a tiger tattoo on his left arm; a Greek symbol on his left forearm; an owl on his left forearm; a crown of his chest and more. McCurdy joked about Bieber being "addicted" to tattoos.
"I'm not sure what his next tattoo will be, but we both joked about how we are addicted to tattoos," he said. "He joked, saying he's only 19, and he already has this many tattoos. The tattoo took about 30 minutes, and we left when the sun came up, which was pretty cool."
