Justin Bieber to Take DNA Test; Lawyers Plan to Sue 'Baby Mama' for 'False' Claims

Bieber's lawyer already picked out DNA test lab

Justin Bieber's lawyers have reached out to the legal team of alleged "baby mama" Mariah Yeater to confirm that the pop teen idol will take a DNA test to prove he is not the father of her 3-month-old child.

According to TMZ, Bieber's lawyer, Howard Weitzman, has already selected a lab to conduct the DNA test. The test will take place when Bieber returns from Europe, where he performed at the MTV Europe awards show to accept the award for "Best Male Artist."

Bieber's girlfriend, Selena Gomez, hosted the awards show and the couple appeared together, suggesting that the couple has not been personally affected by the paternity rumors.

However, Bieber's legal team has suggested that they will file a lawsuit against Yeater once the DNA test confirms he is not the father, according to TMZ.

The celebrity gossip website did not confirm exactly what the charges in the lawsuit will be, but Weitzman described the allegations as "hurtful" to the "Baby" singer, and due to the graphic nature of Yeater's description of their alleged sexual encounter, combined with the fact that Bieber has said he is a "virgin" who will not have sex until marriage due to his Christian faith, there could be potential for a libel or slander lawsuit.

Bieber himself has repeatedly vehemently denied the allegations.

"It's crazy," he said said on "Today". "Every night after the show I go from the stage right to the car, so it's crazy that some people want to make such false allegations."

Meanwhile, Yeater has troubles of her own: she currently faces a Dec. 12 bench trial for assaulting her ex-boyfriend, The Associated Press reported. Yeater could face up to 6 months in jail if found guilty.
