Justin Bieber's Jesus Tattoo Matches Dad Jeremy Bieber's (IMAGE)

Photographs of Justin Bieber and his father’s matching “Jesus” tattoos surfaced Wednesday to the interest of his hoard of fans.

The photos were taken during Bieber’s visit to Israel in early May, and show how both he and his father have been tattooed with the word “Yeshua”; Hebrew for Jesus.

The twin tattoos are written vertically on the left side of the father and son’s torsos.

Bieber’s mother, Pattie Mallette, mainly raised the superstar, but Bieber told “Seventeen” magazine that he has a great relationship with his father, Jeremy Bieber.

“When I was younger, he taught me how to play some songs on the guitar, like ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door’ by Bob Dylan,” Bieber said of his dad. “He taught me how to drive too. He’s cool.”

The “Jesus” tattoo adds to an existing seagull tattoo on Bieber’s left hip, received on his sixteenth birthday. Bieber also has a tattoo on his left elbow, an outline of a large star, as of late May.

The pop heartthrob is a well-known enthusiast of Christianity. Scoot Braun, Bieber’s manager, said that the 17-year-old star says his prayers in English and in Hebrew prior to going on stage for every performance.

On his “My World” tour, Bieber expressed his excitement about visiting Israel. Along with acquiring a new tattoo during the stay, Bieber was bombarded by paparazzi while walking around sites of spiritual significance.

Bieber vented his frustration on Twitter saying, “You would think that paparazzi would have some respect in holy places. All I wanted was the chance to walk where Jesus did here in Israel.”

Bieber wrote of his desire to have a “personal experience” while in the Holy Land and continued to share his disappointment in the photographers. He tweeted, “They should be ashamed of themselves. Take pictures of me eating but not in a place of prayer, ridiculous… People wait their whole lives for opportunities like this, why would they want to take that experience away from someone.”

Bieber’s trip to the Holy Land came right before his beach vacation in Hawaii with girlfriend Selena Gomez.
