Kanye West on 'Jimmy Kimmel' Show Tonight After Feud: It's Not 'A Setup,' Says Host

Kanye West will appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" Wednesday night, nearly two weeks after the two got into a very heated and public feud. Kimmel, known for his spoofs, pranks and fake viral videos, promised that the coincidence was not a "setup."

Kanye West's Jimmy Kimmel rant took place in late September, after the late night host and comedian spoofed one of his interviews. Kimmel had a young child say Kanye's words, mocking him, and the rapper responded by calling him "manipulative" and "out of line." The host revealed Tuesday that the two could possibly squash the incident on his show- or exacerbate the feud.

"TOMORROW NIGHT, MY GUEST WILL BE @kanyewest (for real, yes and was it all a setup, no)," Kimmel tweeted.

West and Kimmel's bad blood began with Kanye's interview with BBC journalist Zane Lowe. The rapper spoke about some of his frustrations trying to break into a creative sphere, classism, and his "Truman Show boat hitting the wall"- a reference to the 1998 film in which a man's entire life is a constructed reality TV show that the main character eventually escapes.

"I make music, I can do it but I shouldn't be limited to one place of creativity. And it's literally like only one or two or three reasons why I haven't been able to break that down," West admitted.

However, Kimmel took some of West's most confusing and jumbled quotes for his spoof, angering the "I Am A God" rapper. West attacked him on Twitter repeatedly for the joke.

"JIMMY KIMMEL IS OUT OF LINE TO TRY AND SPOOF IN ANY WAY THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS," the GOOD Music founder posted. "JIMMY KIMMEL, I DON'T TAKE IT AS A JOKE…. YOU DON'T HAVE SCUM BADS HOPPING OVER FENCES TRYING TO TAKE PICTURES OF YOUR DAUGHTER."

Kimmel responded on-air during his talk show.

"Did anyone else get a very angry phone call from Kanye West about an hour and a half ago? Just me? OK, I didn't know if he was mad at all of us," Kimmel said during his opening monologue. "He told me I had two choices: apologize publicly … and that was really the only choice!"

"Jimmy Kimmel Live!" airs at 11:35 p.m. EST on ABC.
