Kardashian Collection Debuts at Sears: Topless Ad 'Tasteless'

New controversial photos revealing the Kardashian sisters topless have been released for a Sears promotional ad. Many have complained that the new ad is tasteless and supportive of an unhealthy body image.

The ad will run for the Kardashian jeans line, which Sears launched last year. Kim Kardashian told People magazine at the launch that the jeans were designed to fit women of all shapes.

"We have to get everything tailored, so in this collection, we wanted to make sure that you didn't have to tailor anything," Kim said. "It was the exact way we like it- from the fabrics being very comfortable and stretchy to fitting all of our body types."

However some feel that the new Sears ad, which pictures all three girls topless, is anything but promotional for different body types. Some felt that the sisters had been photo shopped to be thinner than they really are. Other charged that so much work had been done on their faces or curves, they were nearly unrecognizable.

"The picture has been airbrushed," Barbara Bjur Betts wrote on the US Weekly blog. "If this was just done recently, do you really think Kourtney's pregnant stomach looks like that, even though she is the thinnest of the three.

"I think Khloe is a beautiful girl and there is absolutely nothing wrong with her size, but why not show her REAL sized?" Betts asked.

Other users agreed that the photo appeared to be photoshopped. "Kim and Khloe's heads look like they were pasted on their bodies," Linda Taibl wrote. "There is no way this is the 'K' sisters bodies!!" Vicster charged.

Whether or not the ad was photoshopped, many agreed that the topless pose was altogether unnecessary. "TOTALLY UNECESSARY AND VERY DISTASTEFUL!!!!" Minister Asha Ivan Guevara wrote.

"Is this REALLY necessary?" Diane Stadtherr asked.

It also seemed doubtful that the new ad would bring Sear's any new customers. "Sears is really desperate. They are closing stores all over and now they come up with an ad like this. That's really going to help them isn't it?" DTT questioned.

Many other users responded similarly to L.B., suggesting that the ad would have a negative impact, if any. "I would avoid Sears because of their line," the user wrote. Others suggested boycotting the Kardashian line or even the store itself.

Kim Kardashian talked about the ad on her blog, igniting even more comments from fans. "Kourt, Khloe and I decided to go natural for our Kardashian Kollection denim shoot with Nick Saglimbeni and pose in only our favorite jeans!"

Few fans believed the ad to be natural and argued that the Kardashians probably never actually shop at Sears.
