Kate Middleton Baby Name to Be Diana?

Kate Middleton and Prince William may call their first child Diana after the late Princess of Wales, a former schoolmate of the Duchess of Cambridge claims.

Jessica Hay, who once shared a dorm with Middleton at Marlborough College, confirmed that Diana is the Duchess' favorite name. She believes that the royal couple will pick the name for their first child should they have a baby girl.

"Funnily enough, Diana is a name Catherine has always loved," Hay told Australian magazine New Idea.

Middleton, 30, confirmed her pregnancy on Dec. 3 and she is said to be close to three months pregnant. Amid rumors that the couple is expecting twins, Hay said that having a boy and a girl would be a "dream come true" for the pair.

"Catherine would love twins and a lot of people in their circle in London say it could indeed be the case that she is expecting twins," Hay said. "If it were a boy and a girl, it would be a dream come true for them both."

Middleton was recently hospitalized after developing hyperemesis gravidarum, a condition that causes severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. She was then placed on medication and released days later.

"[Kate] took to her bed for most of the weekend and on Monday morning, her mother and William told her she must get herself checked out by medics," Hay explained.

"She's already feeling much better and, as they do with everything, they're getting through the ordeal by making each other laugh," added.

The couple, who wed in one of the most high-profile weddings of the century in April 2011, were reportedly thrilled upon learning about Middleton's pregnancy.

"It was the most nerve-wracking moment of her entire life," Hay said. "They're relieved everyone knows and they're just focused on getting her health firmly back on track."

On Monday, just days after checking out of King Edward VII Hospital, it was revealed that Middleton had suffered another bout of acute morning sickness, although her most recent illness did not require a hospital admission, according to Yahoo News.
