Kate Upton and Skinny Gurl Blogger Hash Out Feud
Model Kate Upton has been involved in a bit of an online war with an unknown blogger on the Skinny Gurl website, which offers support for all those seeking to lose a few pounds and remain small. The backlash from the blogger's post has led to changes by the site's editors.
"Did you know that humans are 80% genetically identical to cows? Well, allow me to prove it to you," wrote an anonymous blogger. A photo of Upton was published beneath the line, and Upton was described as a "little piggie with huge thighs, NO waist, big fat floppy boobs, terrible body definition."
The comments immediate set off a backlash of support, not only for Upton, but also for women across the world who may not fit the definition of "skinny." The blogger has now said that she founded the blog for "those of us who want to be thin." She has agreed to remove the "Starving Tips of the Day," and is adding sections to help those who may be suffering for eating disorders, depression, and self-injury.

According to the author, she has received "several death and rape threats" in the wake of the comments about Upton. That isn't stopping her from continuing on her mission to provide a forum for women who want to be smaller and work hard to keep a small figure.
"In closing, there's nothing wrong with saying skinny is beautiful, just like there's nothing wrong with saying curvy is beautiful … It's an opinion, and we're all entitled to them," she claims.
For her part, Upton has said she is "not going to starve just to be thin. I want to enjoy life, and if I can't if I'm not eating and miserable." Earlier this year, Upton told FOX411 she is "very confident in [her] body."
Her fan following has only gotten stronger since the Skinny Gurl comments, showing that there are plenty of people who agree that she is beautiful, no matter her size.
