12. On atheists

“A lot of people that are atheists don't like God, and God would have to exist for them to not like,” said Williams. “So the whole thing is, if you were to believe in the Big Bang, you would have to believe that that had happened several times throughout history. Just because that's what we've seen from everything that's been created.”

He added: “Too much thought … went into certain things, like the fact that you can study all the butterflies and not one of them has a sense of humor, you know what I mean? But me and you do. And it goes for all humans, universally, if we see somebody trip and fall, we all laugh, no matter what.

“I'm trying to think of what the reasons are to not believe, but I can't remember what they are because it doesn't line up with anything. We would have had to have gone in space and there'd be no other planets. Just this one.”
