Kelly Clarkson Ends 'Lesbian' Rumors With New Boyfriend

Kelly Clarkson has finally put an end to the lesbian rumors after recently announcing that she is dating Nashville-based talent manager, Brandon Blackstock.

"I have a new boyfriend!" Clarkson recently told a Toronto radio station, according to US Weekly Magazine.

It is unclear how long the 29-year-old "Stronger" singer has been dating Blackstock, who is the son of Clarkson's own manager, Narvel Blackstock, but the pair are said to be serious.

"Before Brandon, Kelly had a really tough time with love. [Brandon] is just what she needed," a source told US.

The American Idol winner split from singer Graham Colton six years ago and has been single ever since.

Clarkson, who is known for her emotional ballads and tough-girl lyrics, has been faced with ongoing speculation about her sexuality since 2006.

At one point Clarkson appeared so fed up with the gossip that she addressed it publicly revealing that she could never enter a same-sex relationship.

"I get that all the time. People are like 'Are you secretly a lesbian? Because I'd really love it.' Lesbians tell it to me all the time," Clarkson once said in a 2009 interview with AOL's PopEater.com.

"I'm like, 'I'm glad it works for you and I wish I liked women like that because oftentimes men are very hard for me, but I happen to like boys.' I could never be a lesbian. I would never want to date someone like myself, ever," she added.

Clarkson has also previously spoken about her decision to remain single despite mounting social pressures to be married, explaining that she understands where the gay rumors come from.

"I'm from a small town so, like, everyone's married with children or about to have children. So it's a little hard when you go home and people are like- and that's why people think I'm gay- because they're like 'Why aren't you married?' And I'm like, 'It doesn't happen for everyone right off the bat," Clarkson said On ABC's "The View" in October.
