Kelly Rowland Doesn't Want Beyonce's Success
Kelly Rowland, the 32-year-old singer, insists that she is not looking for the same level of success as her friend and former Destiny's Child group member Beyonce Knowles.
Rowland recently appeared on the Russ Parr Morning Show, where she spoke about not striving to achieve what Knowles has.
"It's not about achieving her level but achieving my own. So many people were like, 'When you gon' do this like Bey,'" Rowland revealed on the morning show. "When you're in a relationship and somebody's comparing you and your sister as well, you're hearing it all the time. That to you starts to sound like a normal thing when it's not."

Rowland said she thinks it is insane when people try to hold her to the same standard as Knowles.
"The world would be boring if we all did the same thing over and over again. And I don't want to be on her (Beyonce's) level," Rowland said on the nationally syndicated hip hop and R&B morning show. "I want my own. And Michelle wants her own. When people compare, it's just so insane to me."
Rowland has been promoting her new album "Talk a Good Game" lately, and spoke to In Touch Weekly about some interpreting her song "Dirty Laundry" to mean she is jealous of Knowles.
"I'm not saying I'm jealous of her by any means! It's so sad that people always go straight to that place," Rowland explained to In Touch Weekly. " It's ridiculous. It's basically about me going through some struggles in my life while she was doing her thing."
On the contrary, Rowland insisted that Knowles has been nothing but supportive of her.
"She's incredibly supportive," Knowles said. "She was proud of me and thought the song was incredible."
While Knowles and Rowland were once fellow group members in Destiny's Child, the pair has also been vocal about their close bond. However, Rowland recently revealed that some people were not interested in seeing the two women get along.
"People wanted those stories for years. I think people wanted those stories for years and that's just so sad on them because it's not like that," Rowland told OMG! Insider. "I just think it's so sad we live in a world where people don't want to see women get along and encourage and empower each other. And that's what we do for each other."
