Khloe Kardashian Finally Breaks Silence on Lamar Odom's Condition after Collapse

Khloe Kardashian has finally broken her silence on Lamar Odom's condition after her estranged husband was found unresponsive at a brothel in Nevada last week.

Since Lamar Odom's medical ordeal last week, Khloe Kardashian has stayed by his side and even accompanied him in the helicopter when he was moved to another facility in Los Angeles. As Odom makes positive responses to his treatment, Kardashian finally took time to thank all those who supported and prayed for the former NBA star, according to Yahoo! News.

While the rest of the Kardashian clan members have remained mum on Odom's condition, Khloe has opted to break her silence on the situation after a week, Reality Tea reports.

"The past week has been incredibly difficult. I'm so thankful for family, friends and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar," Yahoo! quotes the reality star's statement on her website and app.

Kardashian also thanked the medical staff at Sunrise Hospital for their relentless efforts to care for Odom. She acknowledged their valuable contribution to the improvement on her husband's condition, the report relays.

Kardashian said the "outpouring of love" from the people around her gave her strength to keep pressing on despite the present struggle. At the end of her statement, she acknowledged that "God is great."

Odom, meanwhile, was finally able to breathe independently and take his first steps after he arrived in LA. He still has a long road toward recovery, and one of the next hurdles he has to go through is a possible transplant for his failing kidneys. The former basketball star will reportedly undergo dialysis at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for six hours every day, the report details.

Khloe Kardashian and the rest of her family members hope that what happened to Lamar Odom will serve as a wake-up call for him. They hope that he will finally take concrete steps to turn his life around after he recovers fully.
