Lamar Odom Defends Kardashian Family, Says Dad Passed Demons to Him

Lamar Odom took to Twitter to respond to the comments his father, Joe, made recently regarding his son's recent troubles and the Kardashian family.

The former NBA player posted his message on Twitter late on Tuesday night insisting that his dad's "own demons may be the only thing he gave" to the basketball star.

"Say what you want about me but leave the ones who have done nothing but protect and love me out of this," Lamar posted to his Titter account.

Odom's father, a former post office worker, blamed the Kardashian for his son's troubles while also bringing him down.

"Someone's got to speak out; I've got to do something about this. It's simple. They brought him down. He would be better off without them. Let him go and get his life together. I think the best thing for him would be to have a clean break, divorce Khloe and as a single man try and get his life back together," Joe Odom told RadarOnline.com.

He also felt that the Kardashian family, in particular Kris, is not worried about the welfare of his son, but rather the impact it has on her family name and their brand.

"It's more about the damage they do to the Kardashian brand. They brought him down. He'd be better off without them. Let him go, get his life together," his father said.

"I blame Kris in particular; she's been through a lot of stuff herself. She's no Cinderella. I can't really say if the Kardashians are doing drugs, but my son would never use hard drugs. I can't pinpoint right now who's giving it him, but I'm going to investigate. The Kardashians haven't been a good influence on my son," he added.

Lamar Odom's father Joe also feels his son has been cursed since he married Khloe in 2009.
